Tuffer (Tuffer N Bronze) is a 15 hand registered buckskin gelding Quarter Horse. He is not a party pony anymore, but does pony camps. Tuffer looks like Spirit Stallion of the Cimarron and acts like him sometimes. Tuffer attended the Youngsville Elementary Fall Festival and the Franklinton Elementary Fall Festival as fundraisers for the schools. Alot of the kids call him Spirit!!.
Tuffer was a wonderful pony party horse since he loved children and loved to be fed treats. At some of the early pony parties we did years ago, Tuffer would carry 4 kids under 5 years old around on his back. Though we don't do that anymore, it made some great pictures for the kids, and they loved it.
Tuffer loves mares and his favorite is Bubbles. He has a paddock and stall next to her. If Tuffer could talk he would say he thinks Midnight is too tough for his britches and why are the mare ponies midgets!
Tuffer has also taught alot of kids (and adults) to ride and has been shown several times in his younger days. We loaned Tuffer out a few years back to a Helping Horse organization that taught handicapped children and adults to ride. And he was very, very careful and slow with them and was a favorite.
Tuffer only does pony camps now but still dreams about those pony party days, and all the treats he got back then. But he's so sweet and handsome that he has always been popular with children. Though he has done alot of parties, he only does pony camps since he is semi-retired. He's one of those horses that never looks his age, but he is 25 years old! He truly looks 5 or 6 years old and he has the other horses convinced he's younger as everyone looks up to him as "the boss".
